Meet Your Massage Therapist

A smiling man with a beard and short dark hair, wearing a black shirt, standing outdoors in front of a reddish-brown textured wall.

Growing up in Odessa, Texas, my father worked in the oilfield most of his life, while my mother worked as a housekeeper. In that environment, I learned the value of hard work, but I also saw the gradual toll that life- and, for many of us, our work- can take on the body.

My path to massage therapy led me to the Albuquerque School of Healing Arts, where I discovered how meaningful bodywork can be as a form of care. Massage gives me a way to be present, useful, and of service while helping people slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and find relief from the tension they carry.

My work is grounded in traditional Swedish massage and shaped by influences from polarity therapy, Zen shiatsu, sports massage, trigger point work, and assisted stretching. Rather than following the same routine for every client, I tailor each session to the person in front of me, balancing relaxation with focused therapeutic work based on their needs that day.

Red Earth Relief was created to offer thoughtful, professional bodywork for people whose bodies carry the demands of work, travel, stress, and everyday life.

FAQs

Do you bring the table and linens?

1

Yes. I bring the massage table, clean linens, face cradle, bolster, music, and the supplies needed for your session. All I need from you is a reasonably clear space where I can safely set up and move around the table.

How much space do I need?

2

A clear area of roughly 8 x 10 feet is ideal. I need enough room to walk comfortably around the massage table and work safely without crowding furniture. If you’re unsure whether your space will work, feel free to send a photo before your appointment.

Do you travel outside Albuquerque?

3

Yes, depending on location and availability. Travel within Albuquerque city limits is included. Appointments outside Albuquerque may include an additional travel fee.

Do you offer hotel massage?

4

Yes. I provide professional in-room massage for guests staying at hotels in Albuquerque. I bring the table, linens, music, and supplies directly to your room. Some hotels may require front-desk check-in or special access instructions.

Can I request a same-day or evening hotel appointment?

5

Yes. Same-day and evening hotel appointments may be available by request depending on my schedule. If you don’t see a suitable time online, contact Red Earth Relief directly to check availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

6

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours may be charged up to 50% of the service price. No-shows may be charged in full. Emergencies and extenuating circumstances may be considered individually.

What should I wear?

7

Wear whatever is comfortable for you before and after the session. During the massage, you may undress to your level of comfort. Professional draping is used throughout the session, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

Do I need to shower beforehand?

8

A shower is not required, but arriving reasonably clean is appreciated for the comfort and hygiene of both client and therapist. If you’ve just finished a workout, hike, or other strenuous activity, showering beforehand when possible is helpful.

Do you accept gratuity?

9

Yes. Gratuity is always appreciated but never expected. The price of your massage covers the professional service you receive, so there is no obligation to tip.

What if I’m sick or injured?

10

Please let me know before your appointment if you are feeling ill, have a fever, contagious symptoms, a recent injury, or a significant change in your health. Depending on the situation, we may need to modify or reschedule the session for your safety.

Is Red Earth Relief a professional massage practice?

11

Yes. All appointments are professional therapeutic massage sessions with informed consent, appropriate draping, clear boundaries, and respect for your privacy and comfort.
